SUDU is a homage to the legacy of London’s oldest Malaysian Restaurant; Satay House, in Paddington, where traditional Malaysian food has been served for over 50 years. SUDU pays tribute to the commonly found food establishments in Malaysia with its menu heavily inspired and influenced by childhood memories of multicultural street food dishes and beverages found in Malaysia’s “Gerai” hawker stalls, the coffee shops, otherwise known as “Kopitiam” and cakes and treats Malaysian’s would enjoy at “auntie’s house” or at a “pasar malam” (night market).
